Hello! I am the K-12 Gifted Support Teacher for the Northern Cambria School District. I am also the Girls Varsity Head Track Coach, and a Northern Cambria alumni. I graduated from Northern Cambria High School in 2003, and then graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2007. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. During my 4 1/2 years at The Rock, I also competed on the PSAC championship track team. I was a long and triple jumper for the team, and I was lucky enough to compete nationally my senior year in the long jump. I am also a level 1 certified track and field coach. In 2017, I completed my masters at Saint Francis University in education.

I am very excited about my position as the Gifted Support Teacher, and I look forward to working with you and your child. This program will continue to evolve in the next couple years, but my goal will always be to prepare my students for the jobs of tomorrow as well as to help them develop their best selves.

To quote one of my FAVORITE gifted educators, Lisa Van Gemert (the gifted guru):

Gifted is different, not better.
Labeling is identification and information, not destiny.
The name implies unmerited, not arrogance.
The knowledge of it is power, not an easy path.
