Courses 23-24

Students and Parents can always get up to date information and assignments from my Google Classroom.

This school year my schedule includes:  Band, Chorus, Multimedia I, Introduction to Web Design, Video Game Design I, Freshman Seminar, and Introduction to Business II.

Band:
This course is designed for students interested in Instrumental Music. The class is designed to teach intermediate to adavanced concepts in music and ensemble.  All students will participate daily in music making, music theory and ensemble playing.  The course will utilize sheet music, lesson books, crafted materials and recorded samplings.

Chorus:
This course is designed for students interested in Vocal Music. The class is designed to teach basic to intermediate concepts in music and ensemble.  All students will participate daily in music making, music theory and ensemble singing.  The course will utilize sheet music, lesson books, crafted materials and recorded samplings.

Video Game Design:
This course is designed for students interested in exploring Video Game Design. The class is designed to teach basic and intermediate concepts of programming and logic.  All students will complete assignments through classwork, homework, and individual/group based projects showing mastery of these areas.  The course will work with SCRATCH and another language/compiler to be determined.

Introduction to Web Design:
This course is designed for students intending to further their education at a post-secondary institution.  The class is designed to teach basic and advanced concepts in webpage and website development, including elements of graphic design.  All students will complete assignments through classwork, homework, and group based projects showing mastery of these areas.  The course uses HTML and Google Sites.

Introduction to Business I and II:
This course is designed for students interested in exploring the business world. The class is designed to teach basic and intermediate concepts of business, marketing and advertising.  All students will complete assignments through class work, homework, and group based projects showing mastery of these areas.

Freshman Seminar:

This is a required course for all Freshman.  It is an extension of the Guidance Office and the career curriculum is provided by the counselor.  The course is designed to help students explore possible careers and learn to utilize the Internet for productive searches. All students will complete assignments through classwork, homework, and group based projects showing mastery of these areas.

Multimedia I:

This course is designed to give students an overview of various forms of multimedia and its practical uses.  We will utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, cameras, video and cell phones.  All students will complete assignments through classwork, homework, and group based projects showing mastery of these areas.
